Squirrels Take Kansas City

Originally painted on 12''x18'' watercolor paper with black ink, watercolors, and gel pen.

February 2026

After watching a few Godzilla movies, I got to thinking what giant creature would be most appropriate to invade Kansas City. If you live here, you know the answer is squirrels. I placed the giant squirrels around different Kansas City landmarks and styled the piece after an old Godzilla T-Shirt that I love to wear.

"A Night At The Opera" Print
from $5.00

Originally commissioned by my sister-in-law, Chloe, this painting depicts the many sounds one may hear out in the woods at night. The scene is formed around the layout of the Paris Opera house with a moon spotlight, leaf curtains, a cricket orchestra, and a bullfrog conductor. Crows wait in the wings to sound their applause as soon as the show ends and the sun comes up. Right now, you are in the moment when the coyotes have their solo, and the barn owls are staged up next. Take a deep breath. Enjoy the show.
